Fiberglass & resin patch RFQ for Qatar, UAE and Saudi: what to measure before air freight

This note is the Middle East RFQ companion for Reliance Trenchless pipe-patch fiberglass and resin materials. Companion posts already cover Instant-Lock Small/Large, repair packers, and internal pipe joint seals. Use this when the job is a localized resin-and-fiberglass patch (CIPP spot/point repair materials), not a mechanical Instant-Lock sleeve and not an internal joint seal.

What it is

Fiberglass impregnated with repair resin forms a localized patch inside the host pipe. Published range DN100–1000 (about 4–40 inches), ten dosage sizes. Published fiberglass grades: EMK600/450, EMK800/300, EMK800/450. Resin components A and B mix at 1:2 by volume. A repair packer is selected separately to position the patch while it cures.

These figures are from the catalogue. Confirm them per project.

  • Resin set package 40.5 kg; glass fiber 50 kg per roll (brochure also lists component A 15.5 kg/10 L and B 24.5 kg/20 L).
  • Mix A:B = 1:2 by volume; stir 1–2 min; at 25°C initial setting 10–20 min, curing 40–60 min.
  • Seasonal formulations (brochure; no test temperature given for seasonal table): Summer 20/40 min, Spring 25/60, Winter 30/90 (operation/cure).
  • Brochure spread rate about 1.5–2 kg mixed resin per m² of fiberglass; at least three resin-wetted layers.
  • Mechanical test brochure values (ask for documentation): bending 142 MPa, flexural modulus 9215 MPa, compressive 164 MPa.
  • Storage period 12 months for both resin components (brochure).

Before you ask for stock and lead time

Before you ask for stock and lead time for Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia or another destination, prepare:

  1. Measured internal diameter at the defect (mm or inches) and pipe material — not only the nominal DN.
  2. Defect length and intended patch length / layer design.
  3. Preferred fiberglass grade if known; planned storage and installation temperatures (formulation and working time depend on temperature).
  4. Whether you also need a repair packer, air hose, pressure gauge and preparation tools (these are separate line items, not a fixed published kit).
  5. Destination country or port, quantity, and target date.
  6. Whether the order is urgent (air freight) or standard (sea).
